VP says life story of freedom fighters should be part of our school syllabus

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has said that life story of freedom fighters should be part of our school syllabus. Addressing a programme in the memory of freedom fighters in Kunja Bahadurpur village of Haridwar, he said that the history of Uttarakhand is full of courage. There are so many instances of bravery.  

On this occasion, Vice President paid his tributes on the statue of Martyr Raja Vijay Singh who lost his life in 1824 for the freedom of the country. He appealed that people should follow the path of freedom fighters. Chief Minister Trivender Singh Rawat also addressed the programme and paid his tributes.

Earlier, Vice President Naidu reached Airport in Dehradun where Governor Baby Rani Maurya welcomed him.
