In Uttar Pradesh, the number of new covid cases is decreasing sharply. Hence, covid curfew will be relaxed in 64 districts. Lakhimpur khiri, Jaunpur and Ghazipur district are now included in the list of those districts where total active covid cases are less than 600 and where relaxation in covid curfew will be implemented. Now in 64 districts of the state shops will open from 7 a.m. in the morning to 7:00 p.m. in the evening.
In the rest of the 11 districts of state covid curfew will continue as usual and night curfew will continue across the state. The 11 districts where no relaxation has been permitted by the government are Meerut, Lucknow, Saharanpur, Varanasi, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bareilly, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Bulandshahr and Jhansi.
Meanwhile Covid infection has decreased sharply and now there are only 32 thousand active cases of covid in state. The recovery rate has increased to 97%. Yesterday only 1430 new covid cases were found in state, the number was close to 38,000 during the peak of Corona infection in state one month back.
