Working on the objective of quality primary education of the new education system (NEP), Uttar Pradesh government has asked authorities to hold a ‘Nipun Samman’ event every month to honour deserving pupils. The government has said that these deserving kids will help and inspire others to be better. According to the report, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed that different operations be expedited in order to ensure the successful execution of the Skill India Mission.
Under NEP, focuses are laid on universal reach of school education by 2030 with 100 per cent Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER). Emphasis on Early Childhood Care and Education and new curricular structure 5+3+3+4 instead of 10+2, have also been taken care of. Moreover, National Mission on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy to achieve literacy and numeracy and flexibility in the selection of subjects with no hard separation among the disciplines like art, science and vocational education is also focused upon.
Vijay Kiran Anand, Director-General of School Education, stated that pupils from Class 1 to Class 3 would be eligible for the award provided they met their class’s competency objectives in Hindi and Mathematics. The skilful efficiency’ of the youngsters will be evaluated using the Nipun Lakshya app.
The evaluation will be carried out under the supervision of the principal of the District Institute for Education and Training. According to the government’s announcement, parents and other dignitaries will be invited to the event, and the pupil will be granted a badge. The head of the District Institute for Education and Training will develop a roster for the current session (January to March) of schools that will be assigned to Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) trainees. Teachers and D.El.Ed trainees will ensure that no aid is offered to the students in determining responses during the examination. The results will show on the app instantly once you enter your answers.
According to the government, the evaluation findings will be shared with school principals and teachers, and the combined monthly progress information will be given to the principal of the District Institute for Education and Training and the district basic education officer. Instructions have been sent to establish the roster in order to complete the assessment on the app in all district schools by March.
