SSC Board results: After sharp dip in scores, students queue up outside Mumbai divisional board office for re-evaluation

This year the secondary school certificate (SSC) scores saw a sharp dip, which is why, on Monday, students and their parents queued up outside the office of the Mumbai divisional board in Vashi to apply for re-evaluation.

According to Hindustan Times, a long queue was seen outside the Mumbai divisional board’s office in Vashi, where students queued up for applying for re-evaluation and photocopies of answer sheets. The results of the SSC Board were declared on June 8 (Saturday). After the result, students can apply for re-evaluation or photocopies of their answer sheets through an online process, http://result.sscboardmumbai.in or through the offline process by going to the office of the divisional board. The last date to apply for re-evaluation and photocopies of answer sheets is June 29.

The Mumbai divisional board, on the first day of re-evaluation process, received 461 applications for photocopies of answer sheets and 133 for recalculating marks. Shravani Dalvi, a student told the leading daily, “I have an aggregate score of 89%, but my scores in Marathi and social sciences are low. I was hoping to score more than 90% to get into a reputable city college, but will have difficulty getting a seat with this score.”

This year, the Mumbai divisional board has six kiosks to help students. “We are taking online and offline requests,” Sharad Khandagale, secretary, Mumbai divisional board told the Hindustan Times. The Board officials have also said that the student who have written competitive examinations such as JEE, NEET and CET can show their hall tickets to get re-evaluation results early.
