Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S21 series is expected to launch early next year. It looks like Samsung’s schedule is on track as the company has reportedly started mass production of its Galaxy S21 smartphones. This time too, three smartphones are expected in the Galaxy S21 series including an ‘Ultra’ variant.
According to a report by WinFuture, Samsung began the production of Galaxy S21 Ultra last week, and it plans to start the manufacturing of components for the Galaxy S21 Plus soon. Samsung is yet to start production of parts for the Galaxy S21 according to the report. The Galaxy S21 smartphones are rumoured to launch in January which is earlier than when the phones usually launch.
The Galaxy S21 smartphones have been appearing on leaks for quite some time. The high-end model in the series, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to come with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 875/Exynos 2100 chipset, and a 108-megapixel primary camera. This will be accompanied by a 16-megapixel and 12-megapixel camera at the rear, and a 40-megapixel front camera. Galaxy S21 Ultra is also expected to pack a 5,000mAh battery.
The Galaxy S21 smartphones will most likely run Android 11-based One UI 3.0 out-of-the-box. The Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ will also pack the Snapdragon 875 chipset for the US market, and Exynos 2100 for other markets. Leaked renders have also revealed a similar design for the three smartphones with the Galaxy S21 Ultra sporting four rear cameras, and the Galaxy S21 and S21+ with a triple camera setup. Samsung also appears to be going for a thick camera bump like the Galaxy Note 20 for its upcoming smartphones.
