Pakistan plots proxy online war against India, attempts to create fake Kashmir narrative

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan

In yet another bid to draw the international community’s attention over the Kashmir issue, Pakistan is planning to launch an anti-India propaganda on Twitter on Saturday. It should be noted that Islamabad’s stunt has been planned ahead of the 75th session general debate in the UN General Assembly (UNGA).

According to sources, Pakistan is conspiring and planning to execute a Twitter campaign throughout the world with the hashtag #KashmirWantsFreedom on September 19, 2020.

The anti-India propaganda will be executed by an army of Twitter trolls in Australia, Britain, Canada, East and West Coasts of United States, Malaysia, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, India and Pakistan.

Pakistan has been desperately trying to spread a fake narrative regarding Kashmir in the international community and every time it has raised the issue at international platforms, it has fallen on deaf ears.

While speaking to media, a senior IPS officer said, “Pakistan has always been trying to undermine the efforts of India in developing Kashmir by all means possible be it terrorism or use of various platforms to incorrectly portray the situation in Kashmir.”

“This year, on the anniversary of the event, Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) along with the ISI had launched a series of events to portray the situation in Kashmir as alarming and to portray India as an oppressor,” he added.

This has come days after NSA Ajit Doval walked out of the online meeting of the National Security Advisors at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) after Pakistan used a map showing Indian territories, including Jammu and Kashmir, as its own.
