No immediate relief for 4 TMC leaders in Narada case; Calcutta HC hearing adjourned till tomorrow


In West Bengal, the hearing of the case relating to stay on interim bail granted to the four leaders in Calcutta High Court has been adjourned till tomorrow.

The arrested leaders by the CBI in the Narada sting case are State Ministers Subrata Mukherjee, Firhad Hakim and MLA Madan Mitra of the Trinamool Congress and the former Mayor of Kolkata Sovan Chatterjee.

Except Mr Hakim, who is in the Presidency Jail, the other three leaders are undergoing treatment in SSKM under judicial custody. Senior advocate Avishek Manu Singvi appeared for the accused while Tushar Mehta, the Solicitor General represented CBI. The Hearing went on for over two hours this afternoon in the court of the Acting CJI Rajesh Bindal and Justice Arijit Banerjee.
