Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari has summoned principal secretary to the Chief Minister over the two involving demolition drive at Kangana Ranaut’s Pali Hill office. The governor’s office is slated to send a report to the Centre over the demolition drive that took place on Wednesday.

In a video message, the actor slammed Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and said that his ‘arrogance’ will be demolished like her ‘house’. “Uddhav Thackeray, what do you think? That you have taken revenge with me with the help of film mafia? My house has broken today, your arrogance will break tomorrow. This is the circle of time. Now I realise what must have happened with Kashmiri pandits,” Ranaut said.

The move by Shiv Sena-ruled BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has not gone down well with the alliance partners of the Shiv Sena in the Maha Vikas Aghadi.

On Wednesday evening, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar slammed the BMC and said that the action against the actor was uncalled for and added that there are many illegal structures in Mumbai and that demolishing the Queen actor’s office gave an opportunity to people to comment.

A massive political tow has broken over Ranaut’s remarks, wherein she equated Mumbai to Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK). While Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut slammed the actor for ‘insulting’ Mumbai, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that the actor should not return to Mumbai if she felt that the city was not safe.

On Wednesday, Ranaut slammed the BMC and reiterated that Mumbai had become ‘PoK’. Ranaut, who was in Mandi in Himachal Pradesh during the lockdown, returned to Mumbai on Wednesday.
