In Uttar Pradesh, incessant rainfall has disturbed normal life and caused widespread damage to the crops in many parts of state. Meteorological Department has predicted more rain in the coming days.
AIR correspondent reports, many parts of state are witnessing heavy to moderate rainfall from last 24 hours due to the retreating monsoon. Eastern and tarai parts of the state are most-affected due to the showers. The incessant along with strong winds caused widespread damage to the the paddy crops.
Districts like Basti, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Balrampur, Ayodhya and Siddharth Nagar are witnessing continuous rain from last 24 hours. Rain has thrown normal life out of gear. Roads are overflowing with water causing disruption to the traffic, although people got some relief from the heat and humidity. Due to rain and water coming from Nepal many rivers are swollen but flowing below the danger level.
