Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced reopening of all weekly markets in the national capital from tomorrow with Covid-19 protocols in place. In a tweet, the Chief Minister stated that his government is concerned about the livelihoods of people associated with these markets. He however said everyone’s health and lives are also important and urged people to follow Covid appropriate behaviour after these markets are opened.
The weekly markets were closed after lockdown was imposed in Delhi in April due to the second wave of Covid-19.
