Activist lodges complaint against HDK with ACB

An activist, TJ Abraham, has filed a complaint against Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), in relation to “Operation Lotus”.

In his complaint, Abraham alleges that Kumaraswamy arranged for funds to the tune of INR 5 crores for Kolar MLA Srinivas Gowda, so that he could return it to the leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party. Kumaraswamy wanted to retain his party legislators and block them from crossing over to the BJP.

Recently. Srinivas Gowda revealed that BJP leaders CP Yogeshwar, SR Vishwanath and Ashwathanarayan gave him INR 5 crores to invite him to join the saffron party. The Kolar MLA said that he kept the amount safely for about a moth and returned it to the same BJP leaders. Throughout this, he had kept Kumaraswamy informed about this proposal.
