Apple is going to the launch floor on September 15, the company has confirmed. In a surprising move, the Cupertino giant has confirmed that they will be holding its biggest launch keynote at 10 am PT on September 15. At the event which will be live-streamed, there are expectations that the company may unveil at least four iPhone models, a new Apple Watch, and an iPad Air 4.
The keynote event date is slightly late this year when compared to the September 10 event last year. In the midst of a global pandemic, supply chain crisis – Apple has managed to say at the top of things and as a testament – the rising stock price indicates that Apple has a lot riding on its shoulders this time as well.
However, there are reports which indicate that Apple may very well be delaying the iPhone 12 series launch – the September 15 event is basically looking at a new Apple Watch. The reason being is that the media invite says “Time Flies” which indicates that the announcement is related to the Apple Watch and not iPhones. Bloomberg News has reported that the new iPhones will not launch until October.
The report states that the company is looking to launch new affordable and high-end Apple Watches and also a redesigned iPad Air. It is also reportedly working on a smaller HomePod and also Apple-branded over the ear headphones.
The Verge also reported a correction to its initial article where it stated that Apple could be bringing the new iPhone 12 series. The story now indicates that the Apple Watch could be arriving soon.
