Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today appealed to the followers of Sanatan Dharma to lit earthen lamps on 3rd and 4th of August and do 24-hour long Ram Kirtan at their homes on 5th of August, the day when construction of Ram temple will begin in Ayodhya.
He visited Ayodhya today afternoon and took stock of the preparations for the forthcoming Prime Minister visit and Bhumi Poojan function.
AIR Correspondent reports, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had a meeting with the members of Shri Ram Janm Tirth Kshetra Trust regarding the preparation for Bhumi Poojan function in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to participate.
He later performed Pooja at Ram Janmabhoomi and at Hanuman Garhi Temple. He also performed the ritual of Sthapana of idols of Lord Rama, Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughan on the new Asan made of silver.
The Chief Minister went to the workshop of trust and took stock of the preparation work and carving of stones from Champat Rai, General Secretary of Trust. He later had a meeting with saints and religious leaders related to the temple movement in which members of Trust also participated. Yogi Adityanath said that the ancient city Ayodhya will be developed as a clean, beautiful and attractive tourism spot very soon.
