Tamilnadu govt decides to reopen schools from Feb 1

The Tamilnadu Government has decided to reopen schools from 1st February. Tamilnadu Chief Minister today reviewed the prevailing Covid situation in the State along with State health minister, Chief Secretary and top officials at the State Secretariat on the event of the lock down restrictions coming to a close on the 31st of this month.

According to the announcement, Colleges, Universities and technical training schools and coaching centers will start functioning from February 1st. The night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am and the full lockdown on Sundays will be relaxed. Shopping malls, seminars, cultural events, beauty salons, multiplex cinemas theaters, restaurants, gyms and other shops are allowed to function with 50 percent customers. Hundred people are allowed to attend weddings and 50 persons for funerals will be allowed. The model code of conduct with regard to elections will be followed strictly till the 15th of February.
