Serum Institute of India says, it has never exported vaccines at cost of Indian people

Serum Institute of India has said that it has never exported vaccines at the cost of Indian people. In a statement, the Covishield vaccine manufacturer has said that, as part of global alliances we also had commitments to COVAX, so that they could distribute the vaccines around the world to end the pandemic. Company said, vaccination of the entire population of India can not be completed within two to three months, as there are several factors and challenges involved. 

It said, it would take two to three years for the entire world population to get fully vaccinated. Serum also said that the company is striving continuously to scale up manufacturing and prioritise india. Company also expressed the hope to start delivering to COVAX and other countries by the end of this year.
