Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that several initiatives have been taken by the government to transform the Railways sector with a special focus on enhancing passenger amenities. Mr Vaishnaw inaugurated various passenger facilities at Khatipura Railway Station in Jaipur today. On this occasion, the Minister launched the printed blanket covers for passengers who travel in AC coaches. The Minister said, a new initiative has been started by the Railways. He said, there has been doubt among passengers about the cleanliness of blankets, and to address this issue, Railways has introduced covers for blankets on a pilot basis. He said, once this experiment proves successful, it will be implemented across the country.
