President Murmu, PM Modi, Union Home Minister Extend Durga Puja Greetings to Citizens in India and Abroad

President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended their greetings to the citizens living in India and abroad on the occasion of Durga Puja today. In her message, the President said, this festival symbolises the country’s culture, faith, and spiritual heritage. She noted that worshipping Maa Durga in her nine forms is not only a path to spiritual purification but also inspires everyone to move forward with truth, justice, and compassion. She highlighted that the festival promotes the spirit of equality, tolerance, and love and also urged everyone to take a pledge to make every possible effort to ensure respect for women and to uphold their rightful place in society.

The President also prayed to Maa Durga to bestow wisdom and courage upon everyone and to bless all with happiness and prosperity. In a social media post, Mr Modi also wished that this sacred occasion would bring happiness, peace, and health into everyone’s life. Meanwhile, Mr Shah also prayed to Maa Durga for the welfare, happiness, and prosperity of all.
