PM Modi to release 20th installment of PM-Kisan scheme from Varanasi on August 2

The 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme will be released on Saturday. In this regard, a high-level meeting was held in New Delhi yesterday, chaired by the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The meeting reviewed the preparations for the event to ensure that the benefit reaches the maximum number of farmers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the event in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

In the meeting, Mr. Chouhan instructed officials to connect farmers at national, state, district, and village levels with the programme, and called for organising the event as a nationwide campaign. He also urged farmers across the country to participate in the event. The Minister highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, six thousand rupees is being transferred to farmers in three instalments under the scheme, with each instalment issued every four months.
