Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Slovak counterpart, Robert Fico, today held bilateral talks in Bratislava. Speaking on this occasion, Mr Fico lauded the economic growth achieved by India, saying that both countries share a deep relationship. Earlier, Mr Modi said that this visit provides an opportunity to deepen India-Slovakia relations and explore new avenues of cooperation between the two countries. This is the first-ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Slovakia since its Independence in 1993. The visit reaffirms the country’s commitment towards strengthening its bilateral relationship with Slovakia in various sectors, including trade, investment, and automobile and railway manufacturing.
