Over 63 Cr doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in India so far

In a significant achievement, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 63 crore mark. As per the 7 PM provisional report today. The cumulative figure stands at 63 crore 67 thousand and 629. More than 48 crore 53 lakh vaccine doses have been administered as first dose and over 14 crore 46 lakh vaccine doses given as second doses so far. Union Health Ministry in a statement said that over 65 lakh vaccine doses have been administered today.

The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June this year. The vaccination exercise as a tool to protect the most vulnerable population groups in the country from COVID-19 continues to be regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level.
