Namaste Sir,
Thank you for your vision, compassion and courage in bringing forth the Citizenship Amendment Act . This was long overdue. The action by the Modi Govt has brought much needed relief to minorities persecuted in Pakistan , Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Every thinking Indian supports the CAA. And understands that it does not in any way affect the rights or wellbeing of any Indian citizen.
We have seen with sadness and dismay the violence orchestrated by certain organisations and their blatant attempt to project it as dissent by citizens . It’s a co-ordinated effort to misinform , incite and create violence .
Kudos to police in Delhi , UP and states that took a firm approach towards doing everything they can to maintain law and order. As we have seen from the various video footages it’s been a huge challenge for the police. Violence against our men in uniform is NOT protest . It is a crime of the worst kind . One that no govt should tolerate.
This is with ref to reports in media about the Delhi Waqf board giving legal aid to people found rioting in Delhi against CAA.
The Waqf board is a govt entity . http://waqf.gov.in/base/aboutus.php – A govt entity will use tax payer funds to help people who were involved in violence , destruction of public & private property , assault on police personnel ?
Why this Waqf board exists is in itself a question. Are Muslims the only community that deserve all kinds of help and state subsidy ?
What about Parsis ? Jains ? Sikhs ? What about the forgotten majority – Hindus ?
Did the Waqf board do anything to stop the second largest majority from creating terror by violence and destruction of public and private property ?
Rather they are attempting to help those indulging in such grave crimes. As a citizen I am deeply distressed to read this news of Waqf board offering legal aid to those indulging in violence against the police and destroying public property. I humbly urge you to investigate this and stop the misuse of tax money and mockery of the police action.
It is equally alarming to read the statement allegedly made by the Minister for Minority Affairs – Mr Naqvi.
Was he not aware of the full situation in Meerut? Did he not bother to get the details? Or is this his statement despite knowing them?
Is it Mr Naqvi’s contention that a police officer must passively accept Pro-Pakistan slogans?
If this Ministry is for Minority Affairs and not just the Muslim community why isn’t a competent person from Jain or Parsi community heading it?
As a citizen I have utmost respect for your commitment to and efforts for India. Individuals at the Waqf board or Ministers who make such comments on the Meerut incident do a disservice to every genuine govt official, police official and law abiding citizen. At the very least Mr Naqvi owes a public apology to the nation. The Waqf board needs to be reminded of their responsibilities – first as citizens and then as members of a govt body .
Humbly urge attention and action towards people / groups in govt who are extending support to those indulging in criminal acts against the nation and law abiding citizens.
Thank you for all your efforts for India. You are an inspiration to millions of Indians.
