Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has recommended the dissolution of the Parliament at an emergency meeting of the Cabinet this morning.
An emergency Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Oli has decided to recommend President Bidya Devi Bhandari for the dissolution of Parliament’s House of Representatives, a senior Standing Committee member of the ruling Nepal Communist Party NCP told media.
The Prime Ministesr has summoned this meeting today after a series of meetings with party’s top leadership and ministers yesterday.
The House of Representatives, elected in 2017, has 275 members. It is reported that Prime Minister Oli has reached Rashtrapati Bhawan with the decision of the council
of ministers.
