Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said Maharashtra’s partnership with South Korea in the field of skill development will create global opportunities for the state’s youth and strengthen India’s skilled workforce through advanced technology and world-class training systems. Three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai in the presence of the Chief Minister under the state’s Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Department. The agreements were signed between the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) and Korea Polytechnics, the Maharashtra State Skill Development Society (MSSDS) and South Korea’s National Institute for Lifelong Education (NILE), and Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skill University with two branches of South Korea’s prestigious KAIST institution. Fadnavis said the collaboration would help bring Korea’s advanced technology and expertise to Indian students. He said the partnership would support training from foundational industrial skills to advanced technical education.
