In Madhya Pradesh, 10 thousand villages of 10 districts have been selected in the first year under the SVAMITVA Scheme.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday virtually launched the physical distribution of Property Cards under the SVAMITVA Scheme to transform rural India and empower millions of people.
SVAMITVA is a Central Sector Scheme, which was launched in April this year with an aim to provide the record of rights to village household owners in rural areas and issue Property Cards.
With the help of Survey of India, a Government of India unit, maps were made through the help of drones. On the other hand, the Record of Rights is also being prepared through door-to-door surveys in the rural settlements. The population survey work has been started in the three districts of the state, Dindori, Sehore and Harda from June. 44 villages of these three districts have been included in the first phase of the SVAMITVA scheme.
So far, a record of Rights of 49 villages has been published in Madhya Pradesh.
