Madhya Pradesh: Bird Flu virus found in 19 districts of state so far

In Madhya Pradesh, Bird Flu virus has been found in 19 districts of the state so far. The Avian Influenza virus has now been found in Kadaknath chicken of Jhabua district. Bird Flu virus has been detected in samples of famous geographical indication tagged Kadaknath chicken of Jhabua district. District Administration is sanitising and disinfecting the affected sites as per the advisory of Central Govt.

Transport of poultry and poultry products will be banned in the infected area for the next three months. About 2,100 crows and wild birds have been reported dead from 42 districts of the state. So far, 386 samples from various districts have been sent to the National High Security Disease Research Laboratory, Bhopal for investigation.
