Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyaya has said that Ludhiana blast accused had links foreign agencies, drug mafia and Khalistani groups. Addressing the media, Mr Chattopadhyaya said accused Gagandeep Singh, a dismissed Punjab Police head constable from Khanna, was taking directions from handlers in Pakistan.

He said, Gagandeep Singh died while fixing wires of the bomb inside a toilet at the Ludhiana court complex on the 23rd of this month.

Punjab DGP said, it was an external conspiracy to scare the judiciary. Mr Chattopadhyaya said, peliminary investigations suggest that Gagandeep, while in jail, may have developed links with pro-Khalistani elements, who used him to target the court premises.
