Chairman of Kuwait’s Capital Market Authority Ahmad Al-Melhem has launched a knowledge portal for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) capital markets in Muscat.
The portal is a Kuwaiti proposition which includes research, studies, reports and training courses, Al-Melhem told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the sidelines of participating in the meeting of the ministerial committee of the Committee of Heads of the GCC Capital Markets Authorities.
The suggestion was largely welcomed by heads of GCC delegations, said Al-Melhem, adding that it would boost the Gulf States’ joint financial cooperation.
He noted that the meeting approved a number of topics including implementing inter-licensing for the GCC investment funds and activating the inter-recognition between the GCC stock markets.
