The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal today.
The weather agency informed that very heavy rainfall in these regions will continue till the 12th of this month. Kerala, Mahe, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema are also likely to experience heavy rainfall during 4-5 days.
IMD said Himachal Pradesh is expected to witness dense fog in the morning hours for the next 2 days. The minimum temperature will gradually fall by 2-4 degree Celsius over the Western Himalayan Region during the next 5 days.
The weather office further predicted that parts of the Bay of Bengal, the north Sri Lanka coast, and adjoining areas are very likely to experience squally weather in the coming 2 days and advised the fishermen not to venture into these areas.
