IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall Over Southern Parts Of Country During Next 2-3 Days

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over southern parts of the country including Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karnataka during the next two to three days.

The weather agency has forecast similar conditions for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands tomorrow and on Monday. Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha are also likely to witness heavy rainfall on the 23rd and 24th of this month. It has been forecast that there will be no significant rainfall over the Northwest, West, Central, and Northeast regions.

According to IMD, a fresh upper air cyclonic circulation is likely to form over the North Andaman Sea. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the Central Bay of Bengal around the 22nd of this month.
