IMD Forecasts Heavy Rain in Kerala; Delhi-NCR Air Quality Remains Severe

India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall at isolated places over Kerala and Mahe today. Cold wave to severe cold wave conditions over Chhattisgarh, East Rajasthan and East Madhya Pradesh will prevail today. Shallow to moderate fog conditions and drop in minimum temperature by two to three degree Celsius is predicted over Northeast India.

Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to be in the severe category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the region was recorded at 407 as of 7 AM today.

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has imposed Stage III of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi and adjoining areas.
