Mohan Rangachari aka Crazy Mohan a renowned dialogue writer in Tamil film industry, died in Chennai today. A report in The News Minute says the veteran playwright passed away due to a cardiac arrest at a private hospital at the age of 67.
Efforts to revive him by the doctors did not succeed and he was pronounced dead at 2 pm. The well known dialogue writer was known as Crazy Mohan, because of his hit skit called Crazy Thieves In Paalavakkam, which later lead to the creation of a drama troupe called Crazy Creations.
Some of his well known comedy plays are Chocolate Krishna, Maadhu +2 and Madhil Mel Maadhu and more. He has also written dialogues for actor Kamal Haasan in blockbuster films like Avvai Shanmugi (Chachi 420 in Hindi) and Michael Madana Kamarajan.
Crazy Mohan received the Tamil Nadu State Government’s Kalaimamani Award for his excellence in the fields of arts and literature. His last film as writer, which release on May 31, was Prabhudheva-Tamannaah’s Devi 2
