Government notifies 33 questions for first phase of Census 2027 beginning tomorrow

The government has notified a set of 33 questions to be asked during the first phase of Census 2027. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India Mritunjay Kumar Narayan informed that the Census will be conducted in two phases. Mr Narayan said House listing and Self-Enumeration will be carried out in the first phase between the 1st of April and the 30th of September as per schedules finalised by States and Union Territories. The Commissioner noted that the self-enumeration portal will be available in 16 languages.
