The Government disbursed over 2.41 crore rupees as pension in the year 2022-2023. Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions Dr Jitendra Singh said this in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
He said that nearly 66 lakh pensioners including 23 lakh family pensioners have benefited from pensions provided by the Government. He further added that there is no proposal to increase the amount of minimum pension and family pension. The Minister said that the pensioners are entitled to dearness relief, based on changes in prices, from time to time.
