German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said yesterday, Germany will not be sending fighter jets to Ukraine. Kyiv has been stepping up calls for more advanced weapons from the West. In an interview with a News Paper, Mr Scholz said, there is no war between NATO and Russia and the organisation will not allow such an escalation.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine needed more heavy weapons from NATO allies, including fighter jets and long-range missiles. However, Germany is committed to supplying 14 of its Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine On Wednesday.
