About the Laboratory

NDTL is the only laboratory in the country responsible for human sports dope testing. It is accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration Laboratories, NABL and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) (2008) for testing of urine & blood samples from human sports. NDTL is one of the 32 WADA accredited laboratories in the world. It is one of the modern & state of art laboratory in the country equipped with latest analytical instrumentation.

Mission and Objective:

• To provide accurate & reliable testing services for Dope testing of Human sports to the satisfaction of clients

Vision

‘National Food Security Mission’ (NFSM), is a centrally sponsored scheme which was launched in October 2007. The Mission met with an overwhelming success and achieved the targeted additional production of rice, wheat and pulses.

The Mission continued during 12th Five Year Plan with new targets of additional production of food grains of 25 million tonnes of food grains comprising of 10 million tonnes rice, 8 million tonnes of wheat, 4 million tonnes of pulses and 3 million tonnes of coarse cereals by the end of 12th Five Year Plan.

Nature of duties and responsibilities

A National Program Management Unit (NPMU) with necessary infrastructure and staff has been established in the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation which will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating Program implementation, including providing implementation support to the participating states. The NPMU shall manage the day-to-day activities including administration of funds allocated to AtalBhujalYojana. It will provide technical support (through experts hired) to the participating states and undertake regular Monitoring and Evaluation of implementation of the scheme.
