The Coal Ministry has said that the country’s coal production has increased by thirty two point fifty seven per cent to over sixty seven million tonnes in June this year as compared to June last year.
The Ministry highlighted that at the same time, the coal dispatch also increased by nearly twenty one per cent to over seventy five million tonnes. It said, out of the top thirty seven coal mines as many as twenty two mines produced more than hundred per cent and production of another nine mines stood between eighty to hundred per cent.
