Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is in Gorakhpur on a two-day visit. He launched the Special Communicable Disease Control Campaign at BRD Medical College on October 3 morning. He flagged off the special communication campaign rally.
The communicable disease control campaign in Gorakhpur district was started by CM Adityanath from the district hospital premises on Tuesday. This campaign will run till 31 October. During this period, special arrangements will be made to control mosquitoes. During communicable disease control campaigns, emphasis is laid on measures like cleaning, fogging, eliminating waterlogging, etc. ICDS, Education Department, Panchayati Raj, Municipal Bodies, Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Animal Husbandry and Agriculture Department are also involved in the communicable disease control campaign. For this, training of village head and nodal teachers has been done. Block level officers were also trained for the activities to be carried out during the campaign.
District Malaria Officer Angad Singh said that in case of fever, mecdical help is provided through 108 ambulance service. Patients with acute fever have to be admitted to the ETC and Mini Piku established at the block level and they are given proper treatment. He inspired people to ensure that water should not be allowed to accumulate anywhere in the house. Wherever dengue cases have been found, preventive measures must be taken.
