Manama, Bahrain – 16 September 2020
BRAVE Combat Federation finally returns to the Kingdom of Bahrain this Thursday, September 17th, for a marvellous fight card and the beginning of the Kombat Kingdom series. BRAVE CF 41 takes place behind closed doors at the Bahrain National Stadium, and will be headlined by an intense clash between two of the world’s top Middleweights. Divisional kingpin Daniel Gaucho meets Arab MMA legend Mohammad Fakhreddine in an exciting match-up that has fans worldwide on the edge of their seats.
Born in a small town in Southern Brazil, Daniel has been through a lot in his career, especially during a two-year stint away from competition due to injury and lack of opponents willing to face him. In August of last year, he received a call from BRAVE CF and made the most of it, brutally knocking out Bruno Assis in the latter’s hometown before being booked to fight for the inaugural Middleweight world title against Chad Hanekom.
Fighting again in his opponent’s backyard, Gaucho put on a classic performance, showcasing his brutal and raw power and knocking out ‘’Superman’’ in the second round. It was the realization of a dream for the simple man in Daniel, who now has his hands full to keep the BRAVE CF belt.
He will be facing a legendary figure in the Middle East, as Lebanon’s Mohammad Fakhreddine has stepped up time after time in unimaginable circumstances and proved himself as one of the toughest athletes in the world of martial arts. After starting his pro career in the region, ‘’The Latest’’ received global recognition after signing with BRAVE CF, and will now have the chance to bring another world title to the Middle East.
Other impressive athletes in action on Thursday include sambo world champion Ikram Aliskerov, who is looking to book a title shot of his own against Denis Tiuliulin. Also on deck for fight night is a Lightweight match-up between strikers Felipe Silva and Sam Patterson.
The Kingdom of Bahrain will be represented by Ahmed Amir, who faces Cian Cowley at Super Lightweights, and Abdulla Alyaqoob, who kicks off the night in an amateur bout against Tajikistan’s Umed Urfonov.
