BJP has said that Congress has insulted every Indian citizen by giving the Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament and Development award-2024 to Michelle Bachelet. Addressing a press conference at party headquarters in New Delhi today, party spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said that former Chilean President Michelle Bachelet is known for her critical remarks about India. He alleged that the Congress Party only cares about power, and senior party leader Sonia Gandhi has insulted every citizen of the country by giving this award to Michelle Bachelet. Mr Bhatia alleged that the Congress party is well known for taking positions that appear contrary to India’s interests.
