Bharat Tex 2026 begins at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi

India’s largest global textile event, Bharat Tex 2026, began at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today. Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh today inaugurated the event. Speaking to the media, Mr Singh said, Bharat Tex is the vision of the Prime Minister. He said it is now an international event, and every year there has been an increase of exhibitors, buyers, sellers and visitors. He said this year, over 60 thousand buyers and exhibitors from 130 countries are participating in the event. The Minister said that MSMEs and entrepreneurs are also attending the Bharat Tex. He said, Free Trade Agreements with different countries are also benefiting the Textiles Sector. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Minister of State for Textiles Pabitra Margherita and Textiles Ministers from different states. The event is showcasing India’s growing global leadership in textiles, fashion, sustainability, technology, innovation, investment and international trade. It has brought together manufacturers, exporters, global buyers, investors, policymakers, international delegations, artisans, start-ups and technology providers. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 5F Vision- Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign, Bharat Tex 2026 has evolved into a premier global platform for business, investment, innovation, policy dialogue and strategic partnerships across the textile value chain. The third edition of Bharat Tex 2026 is witnessing participation of around seven thousand buyers and over 20 thousand textile products. International exhibitors from 14 countries are participating in the event. The event will bring together over 350 speakers, including international experts, national industry leaders, policymakers and thought leaders from more than 20 countries.
