The BJP today took a dig at Congress over reports that the party will form a fact-finding committee to look into the reasons for its defeat in the Haryana assembly election. Talking to the media in New Delhi, party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla alleged that it is an attempt to shield senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and to blame others for the defeat in Haryana. The BJP leader also alleged that all are trying to blame Congress leader Kumari Selja for the loss. Mr. Poonawalla added that even the allies of Congress are saying that they lost because of their arrogance and disconnect with the people, but they are not ready even to listen to their allies. Mr. Poonawalla added that Mr. Gandhi has lost around 74 elections, including three Lok Sabha elections so far. Earlier, Congress had held a review meeting to deliberate on the party’s poor performance in Haryana.
