A monk’s war against an invisible enemy

Yogi adityanath’s name has been in headlines quite a while for his unprecedented passion in transforming Uttar Pradesh into an industrial superpower by leveraging investments, attracting MNC’s to scale business in UP, and encouraging young entrepreneurs to start up with attractive funding opportunities, easing up approval processes.
Adding up to all positives, the nation has started looking towards the UP model for replicating its success in COVID-19 mitigation. When other states are posting staggering increases in patients count, UP numbers are much promising with a lesser number of cases and the tremendous recovery rate in par with Karnataka when compared to their vast population.

Handling Violence and attack on healthcare workers

This unprecedented success is mainly attributed to Yogi’s iron hand in curtailing anti-social elements breaking their agenda of spreading the virus by charging perpetrators under the Epidemic act, Disaster management act, and National Security act. An ordinance was brought immediately when several healthcare workers were directly attacked, charging perpetrators a fine of Rs.5 Lakhs and capital punishment of 5 years. These stringent laws passed jitters into anti-national forces which collapsed their mission of defaming government handling of the COVID-19 crisis.

Ramping up healthcare facilities

The next remarkable achievement is ramping up health care facilities extending the sphere of influence right from increasing testing centers, improving existing hospital Infrastructure when the first case was detected, UP didn’t even have a single testing center. Now tests are being carried out at 108 healthcare testing facilities testing nearly 12000-15000 people every day.

Countering Opposition’s untimely criticism

One of the major bottlenecks UP government had to face is migrant workers plight who had no access to resources midst the lockdown. Congress took it to Twitter and media about UP’s migrant worker crisis and party’s general secretary Priyanka Vadra offered 1000 buses to ferry migrant workers.
Yogi’s government beyond differences accepted the offer. That’s when the entire goof-up of Priyanka Vadra came into the picture when they can’t stand by the promise of offering 1000 buses having manipulated the bus list with bike registration numbers, and most being fake registration numbers. Yogi’s grit exposed congress false accusations and intentions of defaming government intentions amidst the crisis.

DBT to Migrant Workers

Uttar-Pradesh rolled out a welfare scheme by directly transferring Rs.1000 for more than 10 lakh returned migrant workers along with free ration supplies. Yogi’s govt has taken the tough task of skill mapping migrant workers and to create an action plan to make them self-reliant. The massive MSME scheme and loan offers will help yogi govt’s objective in making massive skilled migrant UP population self-reliant. Through an effective community kitchen model, 12-16 lakh people are fed every day which is helping the displaced population.

Pandemic has shown Yogi’s vision and vigor in transforming Uttar Pradesh into a model state by an inclusive approach of united people cooperation. Yogi’s unparalleled wisdom, zeal, expertise, and courage will soon make his vision into reality, and handling of COVID-19 in such a big state is a testimony for future progression.
