National COVID-19 recovery rate improves to 97.31 per cent

The country’s COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 97.31 per cent. A total of 11 thousand 106 COVID patients have recovered during the last 24 hours. Over one crore six lakh 11 thousand people have recovered from the disease so far while the active COVID-19 cases in the country stand at over 1.37 lakh.  Health Ministry said, the actual caseload currently comprises only 1.26 per cent of the total positive cases.  

In the past 24 hours, 996 new cases and 92 deaths were reported in the country. India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.43 per cent, which is one of the lowest globally.  The Health Ministry also informed that over 82  lakh 63 thousand beneficiaries have been vaccinated against COVID-19 so far.
