In West Bengal, BJP chief Amit Shah held a massive road show in Kharagpur, while Mamta Banerjee held a road show in Kolkata.
In another development, the Election Commission removed top officials in the Nandigram incident.
Campaigning in West Bengal is garnering maximum limelight among poll-bound states.
The TMC chief had alleged that she was attacked by 4-5 men during her election campaign in Nandigram.
Meanwhile, the Election Commission on Sunday removed top officials for failing to ensure security to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The poll panel removed the Director, Security, and placed him under suspension. The election commission also ordered the suspension of Purba Medinipur SP.
Earlier, the poll body had ruled out allegation of attack on TMC chief Mamata Bannerjee based on the report submitted by the Election Observer and Chief Secretary of West Bengal.
BJP also wrote to the poll panel seeking that the medical records of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s injury be made public. Moreover, the BJP has termed Mamta Banerjee’s injury as a ‘self-goal’ to extract maximum possible political mileage.
Both BJP and Congress accuse Mamta Banerjee is doing all sorts of things to garner sympathy votes.
Nandigram is being seen as the hot seat in the West Bengal Assembly elections. Suvendu Adhikari, who had once been Mamta’s close aide, is in the fray against her on this keenly contested seat. But, Who eventually claims Nandigram and West Bengal, only time will tell.
