Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu says use of mother tongue should be increased in administration

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that the use of mother tongue should be increased in administration as it helps in connecting with people. In his article published in dailies today, Mr Naidu highlighted the importance of mother tongue in our lives.
 
He said that Mother tongue is critically important for cognitive, psychological and personality development, education and learning.  Mr. Naidu said Second language learning at an appropriate stage opens a window to the world and promotes open minds, better understanding of others, peace and harmony. He said multilingualism has definite advantages in the multicultural, diverse and competitive global order.
 
Tomorrow is International Mother Languages Day.
