Supreme Court refuses to postpone NEET PG 2022 examination

The Supreme Court today refused to postpone the NEET PG 2022 examination. The Apex Court said the delay would cause unavailability of doctors and seriously affect patient care in the country.

While dismissing a plea from a group of doctors seeking postponement of the examination, a bench comprising Justices DY Chandrachud and Surya Kant ruled the postponement would create chaos and uncertainty and would also affect the larger section of students, who have registered for the examination.

Stating that the time schedule laid down by the Apex court must be adhered to, the Bench observed that the Govt is trying to bring examination schedule back on track as it was affected due to the pandemic.
