At the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange advanced 418 points, or 0.7 per cent, to end at a fresh record high of 59,141 on Thursday. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange added 110 points, or 0.6 per cent, to another all-time high of 17,630, in last two sessions. In the broader market, the BSE Midcap index climbed 0.5 per cent and the Smallcap index gained 0.1 per cent.
