Prime Minister Narendra Modi today shared an article by Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat highlighting the resilience and timeless civilisational significance of the Somnath Temple.

In a social media post, the Prime Minister noted that Somnath is more than a temple, serving as a testament to the country’s enduring spirit. Mr Modi highlighted that its journey from ruin to renewal reflects the unconquerable heritage and undaunted legacy of the nation.

In his article, the Minister connected the temple’s history with contemporary India and said that Somnath’s spirit offers a guiding principle for the 21st century. Mr Shekhawat also referred to the Somnath Swabhiman Parv, envisioned as a year-long national commemoration marking milestones related to the temple’s history and reconstruction.
