PM Narendra Modi offers Prayers at Gurdwara Rakabganj in New Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Gurdwara Rakabganj in New Delhi today and paid tributes to Guru Tegh Bahadur for his supreme sacrifice.

The sudden visit caught the Gurudwara authorities by surprise as Mr Modi came at a short notice. No police arrangements or traffic barriers were in place for the visit to avoid inconvenience to devotees.

Yesterday, Prime Minister paid rich tributes to Guru Tegh Bahadur on his Shaheedi Diwas and recalled his vision for a just and inclusive society.

Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth guru, was born in 1621 and was martyred in 1675 in Delhi.
