A couple of days ago Chennai the gateway of south India has been recently hit with a worst water scarcity and the people were seen on roads grazing there eyes for the water Lorries. This news hit the headlines of the National and the International newspapers.
Deforestation and the concretization lead to the poor ground water table. Failure of Rain water harvesting was also the major reasons of the water scarcity in Tamilnadu. In order to increase the ground water and to rejuvenate River Cauvery Isha Foundation has been on the mission of planting trees on the river bed of Cauvery with the help of the farmers. Sadguru The founder of Isha asked the Master Blaster Hayden to open an Plantation innings to save Cauvery and the Chennai in his official twitter. On that he said “The stellar opener that you are, why don’t you open this plantation innings as well for your fans in Chennai? We expect nothing less than a century from you for Cauvery.”
Replying for the tweet Hayden said “From Whistle podu to plant podu anything for Chennai. Also mocked at Sadguru for stopping in century. He asked why not for 380? And he also said Chennai bond will never fade.”
Whistle podu is the anthem of CSK and Haydens was the best opening batsman of CSK couple of years ago. As all know that Hayden holds the record of 380 runs, the highest score made by an opening batsman in Test matches. Hayden accepted the request from Sadguru for planting trees to save Cauvery and he said that he will not going to plant a hundred trees but he will plant 380 trees as reference with his highest score in Test Matches.
